TRU successfully conducted a 3-day Financial Training for all staff as part of our ongoing staff capacity building initiatives under the DFAT-funded Rise Rugby Project, which aims to strengthen governance and operational systems within organisations.
The training focused on enhancing staff understanding of TRU financial procedures, financial policies, and proposed amendments, while equipping managers and staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote accountability, transparency, and effective financial management across the organisation.
The workshop was facilitated by Lead Consultant Mr. Tevita Vaha’i and Ms. Koloisa Tupou of By Faith Consultancy, both respected and well-known professionals in the financial sector in Tonga. Their expertise and guidance provided valuable insights that will contribute to the continued professional development and governance strengthening of Tonga Rugby.
